It's easy to start monitoring your team's usage of GitHub using SubOps. To begin, make sure you've installed SubOps in Slack and that you're authorized to grant third-party access to your company's GitHub account.
Step 1
To connect your Zoom account to SubOps, open Slack and go to the #subops-reports channel then type “/sub” and the send arrow.
Step 2
This will generate a new SubOps subscription usage report. Press the button at the bottom to "Add more services".
Step 3
This will open a modal with several services you can monitor using SubOps. Press the button for "GitHub".
Step 4
This will launch a browser window with a GitHub webpage asking you to choose an account to use with SubOps. Choose the paid business account you wish to monitor with SubOps.
Step 5
Once you've chosen the GitHub account to use, select "All repositories" and tap "Install & Authorize" to give SubOps read-only access to generate reports on your weekly GitHub usage.
Step 6
After authorizing, you'll be taken to a web page which confirms that you've successfully connected your GitHub account to SubOps.
Step 7
You can now return to Slack where you'll see a message confirming the addition of your GitHub account. This will also initiate a new SubOps subscription usage report that will include your GitHub usage.
